Four days ago we purchased a Meller's Chameleon from a reptile show that stopped here. We were told that the sore on his foot was only that, a foot wound. The man told us to treat it with peroxide and neosporan. Well, his foot started to look better, but the rest of him got worse. We need to know what type of disease or infection he had. Within the three days that we had him, he died last night, he became very weak and more sores started popping up. Little black lines that appeared to be etched in pen began to appear after the first 6 hours we had him. After the first day the rest of his feet started to ooze the infection out. He refused to eat or drink. On the second day we finally convinced him to drink and eat A worm. Yesterday his eyes became sunken and he couldn't hold his head up. Whatever he had spread VERY fast and we're concerned that it might be contagious to our other lizards. Please, someone help us.

When a chameleon is sick it will usually stop eating and drinking. Best thing to do is go to the vet. It was mostly likly an infection. When you aquired the Chameleon did you apply the neosporan and peroxide?
