Well, it's eight o'clock right now and about 85 F. It's freakin' hot and humid. Can't stand it! Earlier, around noon, it was about 90 and I was misserable with the heat and humidity at the park. So I was wondering what your temperature is and what your predictions are for Summer! Thanks!

It was 95 here over the weekend, in Oregon of all places. I am NOT looking forward to what that means for summer. If it's 95 in May, how hot is it going to be in July and August? I'm forced to buy an air conditioner asap. I have too many animals that are supposed to stay in the 70s.

I feel bad for you Orca, around here the coldest it will ever get is 60! I feel bad for everyone that has hot weather. I keep forgetting that I live in San Diego. The hottest it gets downtown is 90. Although around Lakeside, Alpine, and El Cajon it has dry heat that might reach 105. But where I live it just gets to MAYBE 90. San Diego is weird. One day it will be dry and 90 degrees, then the next you can't even see the sun cus it's pooring rain! Here we call it the May June Gloom because it usually does't warm up till July. Weird.

Oh hey, I just realized. OrcaManic and I live on exact opposite sides of the US. Pretty sweet. Orca lives in Maine, on the very North East side, and I live by the beach, almost in Chula Vista, on the very South West side. Cool.

I'm in good ol' southern IL and it's in the mid 80's. I don't look forward to the summer. I use to love summer back in PA, because well the mountains blocked the sun most of the time and our really warm summers was like 89 degrees, sometimes living here I think I'm in hell! It honestly wouldn't be that bad if we had low humidity, but our humidity is terrible. And not having an ac or central air makes it more like living in hell.
I definitely agree with Danyel on global warming as being the issue, but that's a whole new can of worms. -------------------- ![]() 0.1.0 Green Iguana, 0.1.0 Viper Gecko, 3.5.0 Pictus Geckos, 2.2.0 Crested Geckos 1.0.0 Gargoyle Gecko |
