I want to build a chameleon cage, but im not sure what screen will allow and which screen will not allow the UV light to go through very well.
Please let me know what screen is appropriate and what is not.. Thank you. -------------------- "Man is free at the moment he wishes to be."

You really should mount the UVB bulb INSIDE the tank. You are correct in worrying about the screen. Small screen blocks out about 70% of usable UVB rays. So just get an under-cabinet fixture and mount it on the inside of the screen. Voila. Problem solved.
