Alright, I have a 90 gallon on its side with plexiglass front doors. The aquarium glass, I dont know much about, other than it is glass I am assuming.
It is about 1/2" thick. I have a 150w desert exo terra bulb on top, raised about 1/4-1/2" off of it (meaning there is some airflow underneath). Is this ok, or will I crack the glass or anything? Thanks a lot. |

If there is space in between for airflow, I see NO reason why it would crack the glass. The only reason the glass would crack is if it was allowed to get hot enough to explode, and that would only happen if it was concealed. Think of it this way, if hot air caused glass to crack greenhouses wouldn't exist.
