Sorry i didn't really keep you all updated with a step by step of the build but i had a free day and wanted to get as much done as possible. It is finished and the plants are in and temps are great. And it just so happens a lady on craigslist had 3 FBT's for adoption so i picked them up couple hours ago and introduced them to their new home. These are my first amphibians so wish me luck :-) have been debating for a year and talking with lestat a ton. anyways some pictures :-)

The finished tank. (sorry for some bad pics the lighting sucked)

And some of the toads :-) i can tell them all apart but i have not named them yet. I don't like to play favorites but this guy is my favorite. I love his brown and patterns.

And then a couple pictures of the other 2

Kind of difficult getting my giant D70s inside the tank haha but better pictures are soon to come :-)

enjoy

Thanks

Thanks :-) I am sure yours will turn out great. I wish i spent a little more time on mine there are a couple things i wish i had done differently. I might have to move them to one of my 40g breeder tanks to rearrange the enclosure and make the water barrier a little more sturdy. I have a habit of rushing things and not being patient.

Looks good. I think you'll really enjoy the little guys. If you decide to rearrange the cage, I have a few suggestions. Make the false bottom a bit taller. It'll give you more room for water depth. I'd probably give them less land as well. My toads prefer the water. You might need to add some soil depth for the plants too. You can get a bunch of river rocks and use them to hide the front of the false bottom. That will also serve as the way to climb out of the water. I really like your tank design, with the water all the way across the front. smile.gif

Wow that looks great!! I love how it came out.

What size tank is that again? It looks really big in the pictures. The FBT's must be in paradise in there smile.gif.

It is a 100g i picked up on craigslist a long time ago i was going to use for my RES but it ended up not being able to hold water once it was half way up the tank so it has been in my garage just sitting.. Finally decided to do something with it.

and thanks :-) i am happy also except the fact that i convinced myself the egg crate in the water part had to small of holes for the frogs to swim into.. They proved me wrong in the first 10 mins.. So i had to cut a second piece in emergency situation to cut the size holes in half. I am going to be moving them into my 20g long for hopefully just a day so i can make it a little sturdier and re arrange some things. It was my first large enclosure with so much detail and water/land so i expected some problems.
