Ok.
Let me break down my frustrating dilemma quickly before asking my question. I purchased a giant albino (possible super giant!) female from a very reputable breeder, who used a courier (also, very reputable) to get her to me. The gecko was sent out last monday, with a 60hr heat pack in with her. The courier couldn't get to my address, and so the parcel was sub-contracted with a 2nd-class courier company. Well, due to a lot of BS on their part (saying they called when they didn't, not delivering on certain days etc etc) The gecko has now been sent back to the main couriers depot, and the soonest I can pick her up is *sigh* after the weekend on monday. SOOOO!!! Obviously the 60 hr heat pack stopped putting out heat quite a while ago. Is my gecko going to be ok until Monday. It'll be a whole week she's been in that polybox. I am sooooo worried i'm going to open it and find a dead gecko. I am also mega annoyed at the courier company. The breeder has been nothing but extremely helpful and has been phoning the courier company non-stop throughout this whole ordeal. I'll definetely get her on monday. I just wish I knew if she's ok or not. |

Pfft, that truly sucks. Baring in mind though, leos are pretty hardy critters, and as long as the depot isn't too cold, heatwise, there shouldn't be a problem.
I suppose all we can do is keep our fingers crossed! I hope everything turns out for the best Taiga, keep us updated! Good luck! |

if the breeder packed it properly (which by the sounds of it they probably did) then I'm sure she will be fine Richard.
let us know when you get her home |

Heard of a story of a Leopard Gecko that the family thought had gone missing the cleaner found it in the cage a Month later, and it was alive! So 1 week it will be stressed and hungry but should be ok in the long term!
