I went to our chinese restuarant today and they have two tiny quarter to 50 cent size baby turtles in a 5 gallon tank with a small corner filter, gravel and water....but no baskng light, and no uv light...i am concerned for their health and future as it already looks quite dim.
Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to help them? I dont know who to contact about their health and concern...They dont even have the essentials to grow properly. I am in Illinois |

Here is a newspaper article that ran in our local paper about the sale of redear sliders in the united states. The sale of them under 4" is prohibited. http://www.southernillinoisan.com/articles...op/16753389.txt
If they are not redear sliders then they may fall under the wildlife codes of the state. http://dnr.state.il.us/ If you cant find the information you need on the website I'm sure they would be able to find the answer for you. -------------------- 0.1.0 chocolate lab, 1.0.0 terrier mix, 0.1.0 ball python, 0.0.1 redtail boa, 1.0.0 guinea pig, 1.0.0 cat, 0.0.1 parakeet, 1.0.0 green cheek conure.
