So does anyone have a website that lists specific laws and such for each state and possibly city? i have found a couple things saying Venomous snakes in Washington state are not prohibited but require a Health certificate when entering the state.
And then i have found stuff saying a law was passed saying it is illegal and will go into affect soon. Then i find stuff saying the law didn't pass... I just need to figure out for sure what the deal is... who would i contact or where would i find the info. -------------------- Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Wow i guess this answers my question
H 1418 Prohibits Dangerous Wild Animals as Pets API Position: SUPPORT Bill Description: If passed, this legislation will ban the future private possession of dangerous wild animals as "pets," including elephants, lions and other large wild cats, wolves, bears, non-human primates, and venomous snakes. Persons possessing a dangerous wild animal prior to the effective date of the act would be allowed to keep the animal. Dangerous wild animals possessed in violation of the law would be subject to confiscation. The animals also could be confiscated if they pose a public safety risk. Violators of the law would face a civil penalty. The bill does not apply to accredited zoos, animal shelters, animal control, wildlife rehabilitators, accredited wildlife sanctuaries, and circuses. Update: Terrific news! This bill passed both the House and Senate, and the Governor signed it into law on April 30, 2007. -------------------- Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

hah yeah.. i have searched on this topic every once and a while and could never find anything and finally did right after i asked the question.. lame thing is the law says if you own a Venomous species before the law went into effect you can keep it for the remainder of its life as long as you don't breed it.. which SUCKS because if i had only go my snake 2 months ago i would be ok lol
