The thickness of the glass will give you a volume larger than actual if you use the outside measurements. -------------------- "It's better to keep quiet and thought of as being dumb, than to speak and remove all doubt."

Hello,
Awesome post! Just 1 question, if a 48'' x 18'' x 24'' is a 90 gallon, then what is a 48'' x 24'' x 24''? Thanks! Corey -------------------- -Corey

Nice post Badger. If it is possible to edit, I'd suggest adding the formula for calculating the gallons as well. (L*W*H) / 230 I think?

Re-read the very first post in the thread. It includes the formula to calculate the volume of any rectangular tank. I'll quote it here for you, but you'll have to do the math. I mean, if we did all the work for you, how would you learn?!
DaCubs adds:
In case anyone is curious, the formula for calculating the volume of a tank based on the dimensions is: [length * width * height] / 231 (all measurements in inches) -------------------- I drink a whiskey drink, I drink a vodka drink
