There is a law that is trying to be passed in NC that will make owning herps illegal. Completely. It was started by some radical animal activist group but now apparently the higher-ups are taking it seriously into consideration.
I hope this doesnt go through..I want to be a herpetologist and NC may not even be able to have them in zoos soon. |

Bodie are you sure it was passed? About a month ago the legislative session ended and any bills that did not involve money that weren't passed died. http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/BillLookUp/...mp;BillID=S1477 says that no action was taken after it was referred to committee, so I would assume it died when the session changed over.
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see the timing of your post Bodie. Link, I'm pretty sure it's dead. |

That bill died in May, so until they try to pass it again, which they do once every two years, we are safe.
