Ok so I know that with snakes you have to do the whole probing thing. I still don't know wether my cornsnake is male or female because my boyfriend bought him for me at a petstore in town. Even if they had known wether he was male or female my Boyfriend forgot to ask. (He doesn't know a lot about snakes)
Basically I'm wondering where I ought to take my snake to be sexed and how much is it going to cost? (on average)

How old and big is the snake? With sub adults visual tail sexing is fairly accurate---although not 100%. Some vets probe, but many smaller mom and pop petstores that actually sell and or breed snakes will do it for free. If you happen to have a reptile expo near you--most vendors will be more than happy to help you out.

I know there is one around somewhere.. I think it's in corvallis. He is less than a year. I know you can sometimes tell by thier tail but he recently lost the tip of his due to some bad shedding that has now been resolved. I'm not sure if that affects it in anway. Wasn't more than a centimeter or two but he definately had me scared. He doesn't ever seem to sit still long enough to measure him but maybe I'll give it another try tomarrow. I'm not sure of his exact age though. My boyfriend bough him for me a little before Xmas as a present and he was just a baby then. I'm not really sure though.
