hello new to the corn snake thing and was wondering are they pretty hardy. um my freind has a couple and feeds them goldfish is this good>>?? also i got a ten gallon aqurium a branch for climbing and a hide and a water bowl um do the need the UTH or is that just a fancy thing any advice for a newby thanks

Corns along with most snakes should be fed rats or mice. As for that 10g I hope it's just a baby as adults need atleast a 20L (I use 40Ls myself 20L is just a common recommendation)

A UTH is IMO the best way to heat a corn enclosure it is by no means "a fancy thing". You also need a temp gun or digital probe thermometer and a thermostat so you don't burn your snake.

Corns being rat snakes can/will/do eat fish. You should feed them rodents as pointed out above for many reasons. However store bought feeder gold fish can be used, it is just not recommended unless absolutely needed.

ok thank i am going to use a ten gallon then step up to my vivarium later it is a tall kind no a long and short is that ok?? um i can lay it down and it will be as tall as a ten gallon or if it is stood up it is like 2.5- 3 feet high which is beter? abd fish is a NO for me

Corns need more floor space then height........so keep the in mind as you set things up for it.

I use a rack system and tubs for my corns.............wink.gif

here is my tank the left side is the warm side it is a ten gallon with that carpet stuff. um i have a biger aquarium so wen he grows i will use that one.



is it ok tell me if there are anyways to make it better
