What age are corns able to breed?? thx
conny63malies
the old rule used to be 3years, 300gram and 30inches. but i guess if you have a big two year old it would work too. It is not as much a age, but more of a size/weight thing.

First of all, males definitely do not need to be anywhere near 300 grams to breed. I have a 125 gram male pewter breed just fine this year without any problems, and a 150 gram snow give me a 100% clutch last year.

And do not incubate your cornsnake eggs at 87 degrees. You are looking at major problems if you do that. You want to stick to 80-82 degrees.

THanks for clarifying Joe. I forgot to say that it was for females only. I didnt think about that not everybody is at the same level when it comes down to breeding/genetics.

Just checked the link I gave you and yes, there was an error. Incubation should indeed be between 76-82 degrees. It has been fixed now I think.

Paul if you really want to breed buy Kathy Loves book, it is kind of a must for corn snake fans.

Ditto that. The corn snake manual is a must have!
