Hi again! Osiris just shed this morning and i'm saving the sheds in little plastic bags with labels for measuring and monitoring his growth. He is between 12 to 14 inches long, that's good right? Fed him at the same time as always, 3:30pm and video taped it this time for his records as a baby^^ He's sleeping now, fat and happy. We now have a small red light on him during the day to keep his temps in the low to mid 80's, and he seems fine. So here is Osiris feeding on a pinki^^ This is what he was eating before I got him, and i've had him a little over two weeks now^^

P.S. The video is about 5 minutes long^^; That's how long it took him to finish eating it and try getting out of the feeding dish. It's also kinda bad quality footage because we only have a cheap computer camara^^; Enjoy it anyway!!

i love watching them eat after they haven't for like 3 weeks because they attack it even though its already dead

Mine eats one pinky every friday and has yet to regurgitate. Just a question but how old would you say he is? The store (Fin and Feather) couldn't tell me how old he was because they lost the hatching record from the breeder that week  . Can anyone give me an estimate of about how old he probly is? He's about the length of a standard school ruler, from about the tip of my middle finger to my elbow.....if that helps a little.
Kinky
lol, when you say that your snakes takes their time eating, I have to laugh. Cuz, mine is so foodwrecs, and eat their food so fast! Our baby corn, lucky finishes a pinky in less than a minute, our big male uses about 2 minutes and our female uses about 2-3 minutes>< They just love food...

Well There is studys that say a reptile cant love because they got a reptilla brain not a mamilia brain. Only things with mamilia brains can love there owner. Although IMO If everytime a snake gives you a kiss and you stroke them. They can feel the strokes on there back and a instinct that when they kiss you pet them. It's like training a dog to do tricks. I know my snakes arent able to love me but that doesnt mean I dont love them.
Herp__Kid
well whoever made that study never met a russian ratsnake or a beardie!

90% of the things scientists say are eventually overturned in the future as they find out new information. That study is not absolute.

True.Osiris tried something that I thought was bad according to most snake owners. I had to take Osiris out of his cage and move a few things before I could place the feeding dish in his cage and put the pinki in it. The pinki was in my left hand, Osiris was in my right. He went for the pinki while still in my hand. He didn't bite me either^^ I had been told by the pet store that I got him at that they hand feed the snakes...and he had been hand fed too. Anyway, I didn't want to disturb his eating so I let him finish right there in my hands. When he was finished I put him back into his cage and he climbed up my arm....so I picked him up with my other hand...the whole time expecting him to strike at me...and put him back in his cage...he was so calm and docile. He shows so much affection towards me that I swear he understands my thoughts. He always knows when mama is going to hold him and he loves it. he has this obsession with trying to stay around my neck...not squeezing, but just relaxing there....but he's too small right now and has gotten better with where he can climb on me.
