Full Version: Breeding Q's....
The Reptile Rooms > Snakes > Corns & Rat Snakes

Last year one of my corn snakes turned out to be a male, and the female he was living with laid eggs. I was compeltly unprepared, so none of the eggs hatched.

This year, I hope to breed them again, and be ready for them!!

I've read up about incubating the eggs. My understanding is in a air tight tupperwear box, on damp vermiculite at around 80 degrees.

My question is... what do you do once they hatch?? I mean, you cant leave them in an air tight tub can you?? I am going to get some of those little plastic ventliated tubs....

SHould I put some kitchen towel or something in there? When should you feed them?

Any help would be great!!

Thanks!

wait you have 2 snakes in one cage? you really need to separate them. they are solitary animals and it will only stress them out. as far as the babies they should be separated into seperate tupperware containers with small holes put in it with a soldering iron
