She's been missing probabliy 3-4 weeks now. Daughter thought she put the locks on and nope. A snake who I almost never saw move chose THAT night to push the lid up and out she went. Found the poop right on the floor.. and we looked through the rooms, left the snake "treat" i.e. mouse in the bottle thing.. no go. I have a transitional layout which means there aren't "rooms" to close off so I can't search one room at a time.
I guess the only thing I can do at this point is look, be aware and be on the lookout. And to complicate matters, I have 3 cats too so 'loose' food is an imposibility - one of htem was FAMOUS for getting into the mice I was thawing out for the snakes (more than once too grr.. now it sits WITH me when I thaw it out) Thus far I'v'e had no half eaten or dead snake (and I'm pretty sure if the cats found the snake they'd 'catch' it. One did years ago in a garden)
What I wondered is for those who've had them turn back up after months.. I mean.. what did they EAT during all this time? Did they show up bigger fatter and happy??? LOL ... one can only wonder....
The one place I cant' get to is under the fishtank.. 20 gallons worth isn't moving - but I DID put the food trap right there too.. nothing.
I guess she has to be somewhere...
any ideas/suggestions (other than the obvious with the food, heat, flour) She isn't a 'baby', more like 20-24" long.

I think it might be an idea to move the fish tank. Even though it's a massive pain, the snake might not have ate the food because he/she was stressed.
Good luck finding her.

my teachers, she had 2 full grown ones, got out last year IN SCHOOL and we found them about 4 months later in the supply closet. I guess that proves schools are unsanitary and have mice lol

well.. I hope she shows up some day

for all I know she's in one of th ekitchen appliances (right near the tank) staying warm
Unfortunately moving the fish tank is an impossibility.. it's a 20 gal tank full of fish.. and with me/physical walking disability, its just not going to happen.
thanks for the feedback!
