It has been a week with Tokay’s in my greenhouse and they look to doing ok now but I do not know if there eating or not. As soon as the sun goes down the Tokay’s are gone and I can not find then. Maybe they are hunting? I have been putting crickets in the greenhouse for them to eat. They hide about 4 feet off the ground. Will they go higher up if there are places to hide? Do they only hunt and eat at night?

Tokays are nocturnal and are most active during the night. Although They usually hunt at night, they may eat a few times during the day. They really like to hide. if there are many hiding places near the top, they will go there but they are near the ground most likely because that is where the crickets are.

When I had my tokay I had that same problem wondering whether they are eating or not; but if everything is adequate im sure they are eating just fine.
