I first notice the scale about two months ago, back then it was just grayish/white around the edges of the scale and the center black. But when my corn went thru its shed this past Wednesday, the scale is now complete grayish/white. I'll try to get a picture uploaded, any ideas on what it might be, or when I go to the vet what test should I ask him to run.

Theres a pretty good chance it may just be his colouring. Personally that is only a guess... i've never heard of this before. Maybe if you posted a pic, i could be more help.

my brother told me it was a piece of old skin, that did not shed properly, a little soaking and putting the snake in a folded towel with a little pressure and it came off. thanks for the advice.

I'm glad you solved the problem smile.gif Bad sheds do happen on the odd occasion. You did the right thing by soaking. Another method i have found useful is to use a dampened q-tip and apply this to the affected area.
