So I have had Lucius in his tank since Tuesday, and he has only eaten maybe 1 or 2 small crickets. Is he still adjusting or do I have the lights wrong for him or something?
I have just the red heat light for him with a dimmer switch so its not too bright. I thought that I don't need the UVB light since he is nocturnal. I try to keep the light on most of the time for him. Also, how can I get the humidity up in the tank? It has a cagetop with a towel on it.

well to get your humidity up try spraying more, or use a substarte that holds water well. I think it is okay that your Tokay is not eating yet. Have you took him to the vet yet? I would do that just to be safe. Good Luck!

the vets around here are good with dogs and livestock, no reptile vets even close to here that anyone really knows of.
I did just add a few more plants to help out with the humidity including 2 smaller ferns, and a few air plants. And I did make sure there was no foam balls mixed in the dirt before putting them in.

What substrate do you use? Make sure you spray down the enclosure to raise humidity, or alternatively you could get a purpose made reptile humidifier but these seem pretty costly and are not 100% neccsessary. If you have only just got yout tokay, i'd wait a bit longer as he may just be settling in. It can take over a week before newly acquired animals begin to eat. Just make sure temps are ok, and hopefully he will will start eating. Its good that hes already eaten a few crickets. If he doesn't start eating and its been over a week this is the time to get your gecko to a vet. Good luck. luke.

Lucius is finally starting to move around and eat. He also turned back to his original colour, light grey/blue with orange spots. I don't know if either he is starting to get used to his new home or he is starting to eat properly, but its all good.
