http://www.reptiledepot.com/ has a good sale on bulbs, i would usually buy a 100w zoo med spot light basking bulb for 12 dollars but i got it for around 5 dollars, i bought the reptisun 5.0( and much more) for 13.95..i found them for like 15-18 dollars in other places.. shipping cost around 4-7 dollars so i think it was a good deal

Be careful with them. It took over a month to get an order I placed with them before. I called and emailed them about twice a week. I also placed cricket order with them on the 11th and still haven't seen it. :-(

I'm ok with waiting a while, as long as it isn't for an animal.
The 18" Exo Terra 8.0 is only $9.99. I may have to go for that.

well actually i remember i did have a prob but that was b/c i gave them my PO box address instead of my physical address and fedex or ups woudln't ship it to my po box one, so maybe u gave them a wrong addrss.

Nope, I gave them the right address. I called and emailed for a month, the last email I was VERY upset and it finally arrived 3 days after that, one item was cracked and the other item, I had to super glue the handle together. I emailed about the cricket order that I placed with them on the 11th on Monday and I still haven't heard from them or got my crickets. I know I won't be buying anything from them ever again.

I got a citrus beardie from them before. It came the day after I ordered. But now they've messed up two of my orders in a row and I'm worried about wether or not I'm going to get my crickets. I already had to order from a different company because I ran out. :-(

oh jeez, right when i ordered my lights on the 28th they sent me an email telling me my tracking #. This makes me wonder if i'll even get my order :shock:

Did u check on the tracking #? If they shipped UPS, u can go to the UPS website and find out exactly where your box is. Many times if its non-living stuff people ship them the cheapest way which ttakes 5 business days.

Well I went and ordered some lights right as I heard about the sale, because I needed new UVB lights anyways. And $9.99 for Exo Terra 8.0s is a great deal! I coulnd't pass it up. So I placed my order, then later Bullyluv posted that BBB post. Now I'm like, greeeaaat. I don't care if shipping takes a long time, but I'll be pretty upset if I never get those lights. :?
I still haven't gotten a confirmation email. I called them today and they guy said to check my spam folder. I told him I don't have a spam folder, I never got an email. He took my # and said he'd have the product manager check for my order and call me back. :roll:

I called again just now, since I hadn't heard back. I talked to Larry. He said he'd chck and call me right back, and he DID. He said he resent the email. I asked if I could just get my conf# right then and he said he didn't have it in front of him, but if I don't get the email to call back. We'll see.

Wow....ok, I just called them AGAIN because it's been 2 hours since they said they'd call back in 20 minutes. I asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold. The guy came back and said that I didn't need to speak to a manager because they're shipping my crickets to me now. Wow, after 2 weeks. I still won't beleive it until I see it.

Would anyone recomend getting a Beardie from them? Also, what is the adverage price of 100watt basking ligts and 18" UVB strip lights. I want to know so I can fins a good deal. Thanks!

If you read the thread I think you'd find that no one would recommend buying a live animal from them. We're all sitting here contemplating if we'll even get the items we've paid for!
Average price of the UVB striplight can be $15-$30, depending on quality and specials. Reptile Depot was selling 18" Exo-Terra 8.0s for $9.99 which is excellent so I bought two, before reading their BBB report and seeing all the complaints about their customer service. When it's too good to be true, sometimes it really is. It took me 3 days of calling them just to get a confirmation email, and I still don't have a tracking number. Of course they charged my card the second it went through. :?
IMO for a basking light all you need is a spotlight from the grocery store. It provides more than adequate heat, and will probably last a lot longer. That's the best deal you'll find!

This is the BEST SOAP OPERA EVER!!!! I mean it as a compliment~ beats that reality TV junk......
Just to let you know----- I have had lots of problems with UPS... I have had a computer shipped and take 1 1/2 months to show up on my door---- & it was quite amazing to see where it went when we followed up online with the tracking information.... kept getting shipped to 3 different states.... weird cities I have never heard of......

i ordered my stuff bout a week ago, and i went to the fedex site and entered my tracking # and it says invalid..hm now i really wonder if i will ever get my lights

Well get this.
I was planning on calling today when they open to demand a tracking number, but then my doorbell rang and it was USPS with my bulbs! I was a little shocked, but they're all here and they all work. Maybe it's because I made a stink and called them about 6 times over 2 days just to make sure the order got processed. Squeaky wheel getting the grease and all that. 8)
Anyways, the website and my confirmation email both said it was coming via Fed-Ex, but it was shipped USPS priority mail. Try your tracking number with them if you can, and see if that's what happened to yours.

Just don't let them drop the ball. Call Wednesday night or Thursday and confirm it was sent. I think got on their nerves when I was calling so much, but I didn't care. They had my money and I was determined to get service! :twisted:
