Hiya,

Dracul had his last treatment on Monday, he still isn't eating on his own, he still seems lathargic and will stay in the one corner of his viv, unless we move him say to his basking area but after a short time he will just go to the corner again. We have also noticed that he is gaping alot mostly when he is out of his viv, i haven't seen him do it in his viv. The vet said she wanted another fecal a week after treatment so i guess were just waiting till next week and getting another fecal done sad.gif

Oh, sorry to hear Dracul is still having a hard time. Meds usually make them lethargic though, & kills their appetite.
Have you tried any probiotics like acidophiliz or benebac to help increase his appetite & help out his tummy?
What are you measuring his temps with? Sorry, I cannot remember if you had mentioned it in your other post before. Is your UV light current? What type of UV light do you have?
Are you feeding him with babyfood, or jumpstart? Are you keeping him hydrated while he is on meds?

He is having ProBalance conditioner for reptiles, says water soluble probiotic, enzymes witamins and minerals fror reptiles.

Temps are measured by a TN2 Laser Infra Red Thermometer. uv was bought when we seperated them so is about a month old and it's a 5.0 repti sun that is about half way down his viv i will be changing it to a 8.0 as soon as i can.

My wife is feeding him phoenix worms and also giving him a bath every day and a drink twice a day

thanks again smile.gif

Hello,

Well, that is good you are getting a stronger light soon, he needs it. It sounds like you are doing everything that you need to be doing. The temps are measured correctly as well. The ProBalance should work really well for him. Keeping him hydrated is very important as well. Definitely let us know how he is doing.

Hiya,

He went swimming in his bath today and ran across my wifes chest, but he still seems to be just sitting or lying in a corner, maybe it's still the effects of the meds :?
Drache613
Well, that is good news though that he isn't completely lethargic. Those meds really mess with them, unfortunately,
Keep with the baths, & the Probalance, because that will really help him out. Are you feeding babyfood, or handfeeding worms?
I hope he feels better soon.
