It says on the back of both containers that I should use both at the same time every feeding. Mix 1:1 ratio of rep-cal calcium and harptivite and dust on crickets.

anyone use the multivitimins and calcium all the time?

Hello,

I think that most on the forum use the reptcal calcium & the reptcal Herptivite. Did you get the calcium with D3, or without?
The schedule for the calcium for babies, is 5 times per week. You only need to dust the insects for 1 feeding per day. If you want, you can sprinkle some on their salad (just a pinch) for extra measure if you would like to. Some may say 7 times a week for babies but I think that 5 times is sufficient. Too much can cause constipation & harder urates.
The schedule for Herptivite (multivitamins) for babies is, 2 times per week, at most.
I just don't think you need to overdo it with the supplementation, but instead, aim for good nutrition through their food intake.
I hope this helps you out. smile.gif
Oh, what kind of UV light do you have? If you have regular tube lights, then, you need the D3. If you have a mercury vapor lamp, you can forego the D3, or drop it to 1 time per week. He should produce plenty of D3 on his own with the mercury light.

Hello,

Whatever is easiest for you to remember. smile.gif
I don't think it matters the days, really, just as long as they get it in their systems. Concentrate on the quality of nutrition in the insects, so they are properly gutloaded as well, not just on getting the supplements on them. They need both.
How is Jim Greco doing, eating well for you I hope? I am so glad that he is improving for you.

Hello,

That is so funny he uses his legs when chasing the crickets, but when he is hanging out in his tank, he drags them. So so lazy! At least he is going after the crickets though, that is great news!! smile.gif
