ive been try to get pics on here for ages let me no if ive done it
HadesBP18
First you need to upload a picture onto the internet. Thus it should have its own URL. Than put and voila! Instant picture!
00bharrop
ive put my pixs on image shack but i dont no how to send links to this page i dony suppose you could go throw with me step by step..it would be a real big help
HadesBP18
If you right click on your picture on image shack, make sure the picture is up in its own box and not just on a webpage. There should be an option that says 'Properties' on the box that shows up. Click on it. It will bring up another box and with it there should be a URL for your picture. Try that.
Jay_herb_com
whn you've uploaded yur pic, on the bottom you'll see the url, just click itll turn blue, copy and paste on a post, like wat im doin but wit a pic

I think the whole pic posting issue has been explained multiple times by multiple people in multiple posts. You asked the same question here where I responded http://www.reptilerooms.com/forumpost-232583.html#232583 if you can't get the hang of it by now, it's not gonna happen! Or try e-mailing reptilerooms, maybe they can explain it in a way you will understand.

As a side note, you shouldn't really be creating new topics as test areas for your pictures. That is what the Preview button is for. If you can't see the pics when you preview it, they will not miraculously appear once you hit Submit.
CornyGuy
Or you can test to see if it is working on the 'TEST' Forum at the bottom of the FORUM page.

now hes gonna be tryin to find the Test forum lol j/k harrop
CornyGuy
Hey, 00bharrop is new here. No one knew everything when they got on the forums.
Ash19
True but he seems to be having the most trouble so far...I think he needs someone to be there to show him. My dad is like that. Not very computer literate. But that's ok. A lot of ppl aren't. 00harrop. Try what everyone is saying. First open a post, then go to imageshack, find the pic you want. Open it and click the URL. Then right click and go down to COPY. Come back to the post. At the top for the options and tags click on IMG. Then right click and go down to PASTE. Then click IMG again. And you're done! It's really that easy smile.gif
CornyGuy
Sounds confusing. :? Maybe, because I have never posted a pic.
Ash19
It's really not. It's just a matter of clicking the mouse around. You should give it a shot, show him how easy it is!
CornyGuy
I don't have any pics. sad.gif Lol. biggrin.gif
tkmofo
It's pretty simple really... seems more difficult to explain than to actually do it! Example:

I went to http://imageshack.com and uploaded my image. The direct link to that image is http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/3505/feed40ml.png (this web address was provided to me upon completion of the upload)

In order to have that image show up in this forum, I would just put that web address in between the two [IMG] tags, like this

If I were to simply remove the ** from both ends, the picture would appear like this

Ash19
Lol you don't need one. You can do it with a pic you found on the net. Anything. Remember those pics of the eyelash viper and bush viper I posted in another thread? I got those from a google search. For example...I will do a google image search for a corn snake...and I found a motley corn I like...

VOILA! biggrin.gif
CornyGuy
Wow, you guys make it seem easy, well it actually is. Let me try.

[IMG]http://www.cornsnakes.net/gallery.php3?id=111[IMG]

Dit it work?
CornyGuy
Nope, what did I do wrong?
Ash19
The second IMG tag is wrong. After you click it the first time, it should have a star next to it. You click it again to put it at the end, and it should work.

CornyGuy
I know what I did wrong, here we go.

CornyGuy
Ok, here we go again.

CornyGuy
I did it!!!!!!! Cool. I can't wait until I have pics of my own. biggrin.gif
Ash19
YAY!!!!!!! You did it biggrin.gif I'm so proud lol
tkmofo
Good job Alec!! Ash our students are making good progress! Alec, for your accomplishments you get a shiny gold star - or would you like a cookie instead? lol Now you must pass this knowledge on to others....
Ash19
Lmao! We make good teachers methinks. Now Alec, if you can do as tk says and pass it on biggrin.gif

Okay, I'm new here also. The other forum I use (Aquarium Advice for fish people) has an option to put an attachment on your post. So I read that you have to upload your pic to the internet and then post the link, but I don't think I've ever uploaded a photo to the internet. How is that done? Is that like loading pics onto your sbcglobal or yahoo page or what?

(I really am an egg at this point on this forum!)

EDIT: OOPS! I just realized there was a second page with more instructions, I'll take a look at the imageshack page.
