are ceramic heat emitters ok for corns? i'm still looking around for UTHs as well i just wnated to know if a ceramic heat emiter would as well(i don't mean both produvts on at the same time i just mean if i had the CHE would its work just as goo as the UTH???)
help me please! i'm trying to soak up as much knowledge before i get my corn!

i would get the UTH. CHE are ok. but i prefer UTH. CHE's warm the air. corns benefit from heat from below not above. CHE's also get very hot very quickly. i found it more difficult to control the temps in my tanks while using a CHE. with a UTH, i hooked it up to a rheostat and have a digital thermometer probe and i can easily adjust the temps. i have used a CHE as a temporary/emergency heat source. they're not bad, just not the best choice for heat for a corn IMO.

I use a UTH with my corn, but I use a CHE for my Blood Python. I still prefer the belly heat, but my Blood needs higher temperatures and my room is always freezing. So yeah CHE's are okay, but I'd go for the UTH for the corn at least.

thanks for the replys...i'm going to look into getting a UTH and just use the CHE for emergencys...that is if i get one......thanks!
