Blaze is doing something that is weird to me. He likes to climb on top of his cave and then from there he will stretch out as far as he can and then climb up into the groove between the tank lid and the tank. the screen top sits on top of the tank. it is just wide enough of a gap for him to sit in. it is about as wide as a finger. he cant get out of the tank. the lid is secured with clips. but if i dont see him and open the lid, he will fall.
I'm wondering if i should get him a branch or something to climb on. would that deter him from climbing up into the gap under the tank lid? is he just trying to escape or does he just like high places?

When my corn was still a baby, he did that too. He got up there real easy since I had plenty of branches for him to climb on. I would get him a branch or 2 for climbing, but he will still go into that groove sometimes. Mine only did it a few times. Besides, it won't take him long to get too big to fit in there. Just look real careful before you take the lid off. At least he didn't fall or escape. I think he is probably just exploring.

i dont think it will deter him from laying on the tank lip as mine still do it even though they have to squash them selves into the gap, i also provide em with branches which they love climbing on and around
