Wow, Ash19, the color's almost blinding!

Anyways here's a bad pic of my Mittens (yes, I named my corn snake Mittens) it was taken with a cell phone cam. So hopefully I'll get better quality pics soon...Mitten's is an amenalistic or red albino...

Ash19
Oh my....yours is very nice too! smile.gif Looks like a candycane in that pic. How old is yours?
Innocently_evil
Yeah, you can't see the pinkish background color but I will get better pics...And unfortunetly I actually have no clue how old he is. I got him just last week. How fast do baby snakes grow anyways? I'm tempted to say he's a month old or something...
Ash19
How big is he now? I think it take a couple of years for them to reach adult size but throughout their whole life they continue to grow.
Innocently_evil
Umm...Haven't mesured him but he looks to be about sierra's size...
Kinda think of it, mine almost does look like a candy cane, but it was sold to me as a red albino so I don't think it could be. I don't know, this is the part I hate about being a new owner, the little unknowns that arent important but that stay in your mind.
LewsKinslayer0
We knew a fair amount about Peaches when we got her. Granted she was about 2 weeks old and we got her from the breeder. But I know how you feel, we have to guess on two of our cresties ages.
Ash19
I know what you mean. He is young though. So he could change colour with age. You can measure him with his shed if you want. Although I think the shed skin is usually a little bit longer then the actual snake.
Innocently_evil
I'll try to mesure him next time I handle him...He just ate today so I have to wait a bit. I got mine from a pet store, hence why I don't know his age.
LewsKinslayer0
I am guessing Peaches is 15-16 inches maybe longer. I tried to measure her while she was at the top last night. She is a month and a half old but a big hatchling, just to give you a idea compared to ours.
Innocently_evil
Thanks! I'm sure it'll help smile.gif In any case you all know that I'll be posting his length in here as soon as I get the chance, so then maybe I'll guestimate his age more accurately.

I will have to take some better pics of Jake. This is him eating....

And the new guy, I'll take pics of him. He has an interesting pattern and I thought he was jsut a normal, but I'm not sure. Give me a couple of days, and I'll post some piccies, and get your opinions.
matt_k
hornedfrog, that second picture of yours is awesome. It almost looks like a professional picture.
hornedfrog
Thanks! I don't like how much reflection there is in the background and how it's a little grainy, but I think it's a cute "pose".

Very pretty. mittens, that's quite a name. Ask a visitor, "wanna see Mittens?" and they agree, thinking you've got a cat!!!!
Innocently_evil
And that's exactly why I named him mittens, lol! The thought of that made my friend and I laugh so hard that it just stuck...
