Wow, Ash19, the color's almost blinding!
Anyways here's a bad pic of my Mittens (yes, I named my corn snake Mittens) it was taken with a cell phone cam. So hopefully I'll get better quality pics soon...Mitten's is an amenalistic or red albino...

Oh my....yours is very nice too!

Looks like a candycane in that pic. How old is yours?
Innocently_evil
Aug 15 2005, 07:49 PM
Yeah, you can't see the pinkish background color but I will get better pics...And unfortunetly I actually have no clue how old he is. I got him just last week. How fast do baby snakes grow anyways? I'm tempted to say he's a month old or something...
Ash19
Aug 15 2005, 07:54 PM
How big is he now? I think it take a couple of years for them to reach adult size but throughout their whole life they continue to grow.

Aug 15 2005, 07:58 PM
Umm...Haven't mesured him but he looks to be about sierra's size...
Kinda think of it, mine almost does look like a candy cane, but it was sold to me as a red albino so I don't think it could be. I don't know, this is the part I hate about being a new owner, the little unknowns that arent important but that stay in your mind.

We knew a fair amount about Peaches when we got her. Granted she was about 2 weeks old and we got her from the breeder. But I know how you feel, we have to guess on two of our cresties ages.

I know what you mean. He is young though. So he could change colour with age. You can measure him with his shed if you want. Although I think the shed skin is usually a little bit longer then the actual snake.

Aug 15 2005, 08:35 PM
I'll try to mesure him next time I handle him...He just ate today so I have to wait a bit. I got mine from a pet store, hence why I don't know his age.

I am guessing Peaches is 15-16 inches maybe longer. I tried to measure her while she was at the top last night. She is a month and a half old but a big hatchling, just to give you a idea compared to ours.

Thanks! I'm sure it'll help

In any case you all know that I'll be posting his length in here as soon as I get the chance, so then maybe I'll guestimate his age more accurately.

Thanks! I don't like how much reflection there is in the background and how it's a little grainy, but I think it's a cute "pose".
