Are corn snakes able to "talk" to each other or solve problems?
Because my hatching albino corn(Amel) has got out of his cage through a small hole and got into my older ghost corn's(Casper) cage.
So I plugged the hole with a folded up paper. Amel pushed that out and went to smell Casper.
So I plugged it with an even bigger paper so it was hard to pull out or push in. Last night I went to check on them, and Amel was watching the plug and Casper was on top of his cage pushing the plug with his nose.
Is it possible that Amel "told" Casper to do it since he knew he was stronger or something.

Are you sure your ghost didn't just want to eat the little one?

Thats what my mom said. Or he might want to just go in and see what keeps moving around in there.

personally (through observation) i think that all snakes are far more intelligent than we give them credit for, and due to the last weeks observations i believe that corns are good at forward planning. heres the story, last wednesday i decided that as the amel hatchling i had was due to go to his new home i transferred my amber hatchling from the viv that they had been living in together, into his new home. i hadnt noticed that the frame of the unit holding 3 tanks had warped slightly leaving a 5mm gap. the first thing the amber did was check out every inch of the tank, he even went right round the top edge of the tank and then settled in the back corner at the top of the tank and sat there for 3 hours watching myself and the few friends i had round all the time. after my friends had left something told me that all was nopt well, you know the sort of thing when you just have that feeling. so i had a few games of scrabble and all the time the snake just sat on the top edge of the tank waiting. so i left the room to make a coffee and some toast. iwas in the kitchen for about 25 mins as i did the washing up also, all the time i kept popping my head round the door of the kitchen from where i have a clear view of the tanks. oh i had also turned off the room lights. and low and behold he must have thought the coast was clear and that i had gone to bed as he started to move along the top of the tank heading straight for the gap so i crept back in and sat down. 2 mins later out through the gap he came and started to go round the side towards the shelf next to the tanks. so i walked over and put my hand in front of him and he pulled back as if he was shocked. i believe that hed found the gap and thought right when everybody has gone im out of here. it was as if hed planned his escape!!!
