i think they way they do it is to find the one spot where they choose to go and put a paper towel there to clean daily...although I think a lot of people just stimulate their beardies to go during their soaks and baths...That way it can be drained after they go and the cage kept sanitary

Mine go in the same place every morning, so I make sure that I have a paper towel there at night, ready for the morning, to keep the cage clean

I was lucky Oz taught herself to go in a tub I had in her viv when she was small, I think she kept doing it in there because she knew it would get removed straight away. These days she'll always wait for her bath (days at times if I can't bath her).
The normal method I believe is like Hawsegal said put a paper towel down where they go, then remove it as soon as they do anything and replace it anyway every day. Then once they have got use to that and associate the paper towel as their toilet you can move it to a corner. |

I know when my large beardie needs the loo because he gets really active first thing in the morning LOL. So i put him on some newspaper and wait for him to go, I swear its worse than a dog.

Hello,
Who said dragons weren't smart!! They don't want to go in their tanks, but normally are forced to. If you set up a specific area outside of their tank when they are let out to play, they can be easily trained to go outside of their tank. Then, you have no clean up in the tanks. Plus, it is SO much cleaner that way. Tracie |

I have tried paper towls with mine and he will poop where they arent. He poops in the bath sometimes. I made the mistake of putting him in the sink as a quick bath and i had to run with him poop on my hands to keep him from doing it in the sink (if my mom wouldnt have been home i would have had no problem with him letting lose, but she would have killed me). Ill try the outside the cage thing and try harder on the paper towl thing when i get my new cage built.
