So, as it turns out, Rita didn't get quite as close to Houston as originally anticipated, although the power at the data centers was, apparently, a little inconsistent.
The data centers were running on Generator power (with 10,000 gallons of fuel in reserve) for a couple of days as a precaution to make sure everybody stayed up and running. It was a precaution that ultimately proved unnecessary, but it just shows what a good job these guys are determined to do to make sure our servers and sites stay online.
